Hello, Simmers! (clique aqui para ler em português)
Last week we got from EA a The Sims 4 City Living code, and then we were able to prepare one more review of the game to share with you!
In case you haven’t seen it yet, we have published HERE a preview with a lot of info of City Living with 15 images and a 10 minute gameplay video. We also published HERE a video interview with SimGuruJill, where she talks about San Myshuno and it’s districts, a little bit of the creative process of karaoke and also a Portuguese message for the Simmers.
This time we tried to bring what we hadn’t shared before: images and info on CAS and building mode, more images of the simulation mode, the new death, and also a conclusion on what we think about City Living! We hope you enjoy this post.
City Living CAS brings six new female hairs and four new male’s; dozens of new clothes for both women and men, the new red skin, some new accessories, a new beard option and some new shoes. Check it all out below!
City Living build mode brings a lot of new items for you to add in your lots! We tried to group them by room type/function in the images so it would be easier for you to check them out. See them below!
We brought the City Living welcome screen and the list of traits both in Portuguese to our Brazilian fans. Besides that, we also brought dozens of new images we did on Sims Camp and in the event in São Paulo but that we didn’t publish before: images of the Sims both inside their apartments and on the open street. Check it out!
One of the fun new things of City Living is the new death by pufferfish! See below how that happens.
Pufferfish can be bought on the Japanese food cart. In order to not waste any time going to the open street, I’ve put the cart inside of the apartment of the family that I’ve chosen to star this short story (available on Build Mode). Then I made the Sim eat the dish so she could learn the recipe.
After learning the recipe, I’ve put the killer Sim in a bad mood (to increase the chances of death of the Sim who would eat the dish), and then made her cook the pufferfish. After that, she served it to her husband (black widow, hell yeah)!
He didn’t even need to eat the whole dish and died right there! 😮
And when he came back as a ghost, the pufferfish was right there swimming inside of his chest. Cute, if it wasn’t tragic!

The Sims 4 City Living is an extremely alive and dynamic expansion pack, full of new things for the Sims both inside and outside of their homes. While the two first expansion packs focus more on the outside of the lots (Get To Work focus on the careers outside of the house and Get Together on the clubs events), City Living brings an outside world full of new things but also many new interactions inside of the houses: the apartments, the traits for the lots, the neighbors that are always around being part of the social life of the Sims. In other words, City Living pleases the Simmers who love to leave for the streets with their Sims, and also the Simmers who prefer to stay inside of the lot creating a legacy!
Other pretty nice aspect of the game is the references and inspiration on previous expansion packs, bringing a nostalgic vibe at the same time that brings a lot of new things. For example: on The Sims Camp, SimGuruLyndsay said that one of the inspiration for City Living was Sims 3 Late Night, but we can also say that there’s inspiration on Sims 2 Apartment Life (we wonder why?!), the neighbors system reminds us of the dorms system of Sims 2 University Life, basketball comes from Sims 2 FreeTime, karaoke is from The Sims Superstar, bubble blower is from The Sims House Party… and the best part is that everything came better for The Sims 4, added to all new awesome stuff!
EA has done a really great job on this expansion pack, and also let us pretty excited for what will come next!
Buy The Sims 4 City Living and have fun with the best that San Myshuno can offer! J
